Desert Star is a Great old time Rock & Roll Band that has been rocking Midwest Ohio Since 1972. You can tell these guys have been around because their music is tight. When you hear them play you just want to get up and move and have a few brews. This is the kind of Rock & Roll that I like to hear. Desert Star is the essence of what a Rock & Roll Band Should be. Desert Star has been rockin Midwest Ohio since 1972!
band members are Chris Reynolds Guitar, Keyboards and Vocals, Jerry Gosser Lead Guitar, Kevin Hancock Bass Guitar and Vocals, Denis Rife Percussion, Tony Ferguson alias (Fat Fergy) Lead Vocals and Acoustic Guitar, last but not least their faithful sound and light man Larry Queen. Desert Star song list includes southern rock, classic rock, metal and original music.
1990 Desert Star debuted on Dayton’s Wtue Homegrown Album with song “Sweet Baby”. another big highlight forDesert Star is when they opened for the southern rock all-stars in 2004 with greats like Jimmy Farrar and the late great Jackson Spires (Thunderfoot). dedicated to keep on rockin is the bands motto so put on your dancin shoes and hold on tight because Desert Star is gonna shine tonight!
